365 Day Search:  Natural Pits That Don't Smell Like Butt.

Disclaimer:  This is not my usual kind o' post, but pits are important.  My inner circle of friends will tell you that I can really nerd out.  This could possibly be filed under that category.

Over the last 365 days, I have tested the eight deodorants that you see in this photo plus three not in the photo (Tom's All Natural Long Lasting in Wild Lavender, Arm & Hammer Essentials in Unscented, and Addidas Fitness Fresh) and  about six, 'diy' deodorant recipes.
*Nobody gave me any deodorant samples, so this is a completely unbiased review/opinion/thingy.  That said, I will give you my address if you want to send me free stuff!

I'm old enough now that I should have accumulated enough aluminum through my arm pits that I could be listed as a geological reserve.  With three kids in my house that are nearing the age of pit stink, I could not in good conscience hand them a tube of the same deodorant that I have been poisoning myself with for decades.  At the same time, I can't send them out as those "natural smelling" kids either.  Let's face it, middle school is hard enough without being the kid that stinks because your Mom is a little too 'green'.

All of the recipes and purchased deodorants tested are aluminum free and advertised as "natural".   You may notice that there are three different deodorants pictured from Herban Cowboy.  I really (really) wanted them to have the winner because I love the name.  (I am a sucker for fun marketing.)  I tested each deodorant for at least three weeks to see if it would lose effectiveness, ran at least four times each week, did yoga and worked in the yard with each one.  I won't bore you with my 'pit rub notes' on each formula and just get to the punchline.

And the winner, beyond a shadow of doubt is....{enter drum roll here}

NATIVE. That* is GOOD STUFF.  I've only tried the coconut & vanilla, but I'm a convinced customer.  I would consider it a personal favor if you would all go and purchase a stick of this awesomeness so they will stay around for pits here and everywhere.  Thanks!

Challenge: Accepted.

The past two years have been challenging in a million ways. I spent about a year on the fritz, reacting with knee jerk precision to everything that hit my space. I give myself some grace for that year. My ground wire had just come undone.

When I got my feet under me a little, I started looking up and around for others to help me understand who I was now. It's just a part of the humanity connection: We humans tell other humans who they are and what they are capable of achieving. It makes us feel a little more secure in our skins as we look out from our own tiny peep holes into the big world to offer this service. In turn, we aid our fellow humans by validating their humanity and giving them a "doable" framework from which they can manage life. And this works...
Until it stops working.

Because, almost always comes the day when you look out just a little further and know there is more...You are more. That's when you have to forget who they told you you are and get really quiet with yourself. And that's when you start to become who you really are. (So cool!)

And you are pretty great. ✨🙏✨

Today was the first day I have been able to run/jog/walk/run three miles since my injury earlier in the summer. It is also the last day of a 15 day Instagram yoga challenge (my first). I didn't get the press handstand mastered (yet). I did get a little further along the road of becoming who I am... And that's the point. Celebrate everything...You are doing great! Float on! ✨✨✨✨

Peace and BIG love to everyone from the farm. ✌️❤️✨. Happy Monday! 🙃
